19 Jun 2010 Stonehaven

We have spoken to the owner and she recommended the road through Tomintoul to reach Stonehaven. Before we started the journey, went to pump petrol and air. OMG, air in UK is not free! 50 pence for 6 mins of air. So we have to pump rather fast. never been so streesed in pumping tyres.

Passed by Cairngorm National Park. Cold and windy today. 7 degrees outside. Sometimes we were the only car on the road.

Finally reached Stonehaven at 2pm. Liz is not at home, she passed the keys to her neighbour and the kind neighbour passed me the keys.

We checked in and wow! Such a nice place! This has to be the best B&B that we have stayed for so many days! The long bath, the rooms, the sky window and even the binoculars for watching the wild birds from the windows! How cool!!

Can see the beach from the room.
We drove to Dunnottar Castle and the sea breeze was very strong. We couldnt stand still but being pushed towards the cliff haha! So dangerous! So coincidentally they was a couple that getting married inside the castle. I went into the castle and saw the lucky couple. The runis are more interesting than what i originally thought.

Walked back to the B&B and the owner was already back. I went out to check out the playground. Wow! it is so much more interesting and adventurous than ours!! There was even a skating training rink. How cool is that!? Children in UK are really a lucky lot. On the way to town, saw a super long car that try to do u turn. Pity the lady chauffer. She is in pink as well haha

Stonehaven town
Bought a packet of fried rice and walked back to the B&B. Liz was so kind to allow me to have my rice in the dining room.
